Abbey Social is a not-for-profit social enterprise. The funds raised from our events help cover essential costs such as staffing, venue hire, and equipment. The chosen charity we support is Seal, Dunfermline.

SEAL promotes health and wellbeing by helping children and young people feel included, supported, and better equipped to cope with life’s challenges.

Abbey Social events at the Fire Station creative, Andrew Carnegie Birthplace museum and Dunfermline Library have helped raised funds for The Seal, Dunfermline. Seal are an incredible charity who support children and young people throughout West Fife.

4th September 2025 - Sponsorship of 10K run for Macmillan Cancer Support charity. 

Jamie Howie has been very active with Abbey Social. Helping secure a very large sponsorship from Primark for the Seal, Dunfermline charity. Now it's our turn to support Jamie who is doing a 10K run for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity. 

1st September 2025 - Community News. 

Abbey Social are delighted to be the home shirt sponsor for Dunfermline Athletic’s new striker, Zak Rudden . Zak marked his Pars debut with a goal against Ross County on Saturday – hopefully the first of many in black and white!

5th July 2025 - The Dunfermline Story with Colin Maxwell. * Free places for Seal, Dunfermline Charity.

Join us for an illustrated talk through Dunfermline’s history by Colin Maxwell, with images by many different artists from The Dunfermline Story. An opportunity to hear about the behind-the-scenes work that went into producing the book, how artists were chosen, and how the topics of the book were selected. The session will be of interest to those who enjoy history or want to know more about the Dunfermline area. Writers and artists may be interested in seeing what goes into the production of such a book.

February 2025 - Introducing the New Artisan Trader of the Year Awards!

Abbey Social has partnered with Dunfermline Artisan Market to launch an exciting new competition designed to support and celebrate emerging businesses.

If you've been in business for a year or less and craft your own artisan products for market sales, this opportunity is for you!

Each month, one talented trader will be selected as the Artisan Trader of the Month, winning:

  1. A rosette
  2. A framed certificate
  3. A free trading space at the Dunfermline City Artisan Market

At the end of the year, all monthly winners will gather for a grand finale at Fire Station Creative, where the overall Artisan Trader of the Year will be awarded:

  1. A prestigious trophy
  2. £250 in cash, courtesy of sponsor, Abbey Social.

5th December 2024 - Christmas Market + Seal Fundraiser.

Special thanks to the helpers on the Abbey Social stand, Lego Man and our fundraisers for Seal Dunfermline . It was great to see the leaders and kids from Seal, Dunfermline in attendance.

September 24th 2024 - Seal Dunfermline Fundraising Event:

A fundraising event with a complimentary drink on arrival at Fire Station Creative. Show your support for Seal, Dunfermline, a fabulous long-standing charity supporting children & young people in West Fife while enjoying some live music and drinks. There will also be a prize raffle on the night too!
